As luck would have it, after the birth of my second child, a friend recommended that I try Pilates at Roberta Wein's studio. At the time, the studio was located on 56th and Park and I have followed her to her current location. After 12 years the studio feels like home.  I had always been slim, however, being small I had to be careful not to bulk up from exercise while trying to tone. Pilates literally transformed my body within several weeks.

My muscles and contour became longer and tighter. I went from a waist 26 jeans to a waist 24-25 within a period of two months, while remaining the same weight on the scale.

The beauty of Pilates for me is that the method cures the mind as well as the body. As a mother of two teen-age boys, and a career as an attorney, Pilates provides the same core and balance to my mind as it does to my body. Roberta’s studio has been, and continues to be, a refuge from the daily stresses. The studio is serious, and Roberta insists on following the original method to a tee, while at the same time maintaining an atmosphere of warmth and family.
